A Pakistani intruder was arrested along the International Border in Jammu’s R S Pura sector on Thursday, according to Border Security Force (BSF) officials. This incident marks the second arrest of a Pakistani national in the area this month, highlighting ongoing challenges along the sensitive border.
The vigilant BSF personnel detected suspicious movement as the individual attempted to cross the border. They swiftly apprehended him after he entered Indian territory. Despite the tense situation, no incriminating materials were found on him.
Officials have initiated a thorough investigation, with various security agencies interrogating the arrested individual. The identity of the intruder has not been disclosed yet, but he has become part of a broader security protocol scrutinizing border breaches.
Earlier this month, on September 8, another Pakistani intruder, identified as Siraj Khan from Sargodha in Punjab province, was arrested in the same sector. During that apprehension, the BSF opened fire after challenging Khan’s incursion near the border fence and recovered some Pakistani currency notes from him.
The BSF deploys extensive monitoring and patrolling systems along the International Border to prevent unauthorized entries and safeguard national security. These recent incidents underscore the necessity for heightened vigilance and prompt action by border security forces amidst ongoing tensions.
