Minister Sakeena Itoo inaugurates newly constructed PHC to strengthen healthcare in Kulgam, showcasing government commitment to rural health infrastructure
KULGAM, SEPTEMBER 20: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo, inaugurated a newly constructed Primary Health Centre (PHC) today in Devsar, Kulgam, reinforcing the government’s determined efforts to improve healthcare access in rural areas. The event drew the attention of various stakeholders, including MLA Devsar, Peerzada Feroz Ahmad, senior district administration officials, health department representatives, and a large gathering of locals.
The new PHC aims to offer accessible and quality healthcare services to the local population, ensuring that residents receive necessary medical attention within their communities. Minister Itoo highlighted the importance of establishing robust health infrastructure in remote areas, stating, “We are committed to expanding health services so that no one remains deprived of fundamental medical care.”
During her address, Itoo pointed out several initiatives launched by the government to enhance the health sector, urging health staff to maintain dedication and compassion while serving the citizens.
