RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav announced on Tuesday that the INDIA bloc’s poll manifesto will act as a transformative vision document, aimed at positioning Bihar as the number one state in India. Yadav articulated this vision ahead of the manifesto’s scheduled release, asserting its significance for the state’s future.
Speaking to reporters, Yadav said, “We have a vision for the state and a roadmap for its growth. It (the manifesto) can also be referred to as the ‘Tejashwi Pran Patra’ (Tejashwi’s Resolution Document).” He called the document not just a campaign tool but a pathway to progress.
The announcement marks a critical step as the opposition coalition’s manifesto is set to be unveiled today, enhancing the political rhetoric ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections. With elections scheduled for November 6 and November 11, the timing of the manifesto release is pivotal.
In a pointed critique of the ruling NDA, Yadav accused the alliance of lacking clarity and direction. “They have failed to announce their chief ministerial candidate or release their manifesto. We announced our CM face ahead of the polls and are launching our manifesto today. What about the NDA? They have neither declared their CM candidate nor released their manifesto. They simply copy our promises,” he stated.
Targeting key figures in the state’s politics, including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Yadav argued that both leaders have not delivered substantial progress for Bihar. “Whenever the PM comes to Bihar, he engages in negative politics, focusing on abusing opposition leaders rather than addressing our issues,” Yadav charged.
The upcoming elections will take place in two phases, with a total of 243 members in the Bihar Assembly vying for public support. The counting of votes and the declaration of results is expected on November 14, making these upcoming days crucial for all political players in the state.
Yadav’s vision for the INDIA bloc is encapsulated in the manifesto, which aims to address pressing issues faced by the residents of Bihar. The RJD leader’s rhetoric emphasizes a commitment to growth, equity, and governance.
This election season, the stakes are high as both coalitions work to gain the trust of the electorate. The INDIA bloc’s manifesto may serve as a turning point, guiding their strategies and presenting an alternative to the public.
